Joshua S. Brown (NPN 22098686, CA License #4509549) and John M. Brown (NPN 21148038, CA Lic. #4374779) are licensed insurance producers. Our principal business address is 537 Linda Ln, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
This Privacy Notice applies to information collected through our websites, including protect-mortgage.com and centaurusenterprises.com, our online lead and qualification forms, and any other direct interactions with our agency.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: First and last name, email address, telephone numbers (mobile and home), city, and state
- Insurance & financial information: Type of coverage requested, coverage amount preferences, monthly budget, beneficiary information, reason for seeking coverage, and current insurance status
- Demographic information: Age, date of birth, height, weight, tobacco use status, and general health conditions (collected only after initial contact, for underwriting purposes)
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, date and time of form submission, and the consent language displayed at the time of submission
- Communications: Notes and records from telephone, text, email, or video call interactions with our agents
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide exclusively for the following purposes:
- To respond to your request for information about life insurance products
- To contact you via phone, text message, or email as authorized by your consent
- To obtain insurance quotes from licensed carriers on your behalf
- To process and submit insurance applications you authorize
- To maintain records of your consent, our communications, and any transactions, as required by federal and state law
- To comply with applicable insurance regulations, TCPA requirements, and other legal obligations
We do not use your information for automated profiling, credit decisioning, or any purpose unrelated to your insurance inquiry.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Insurance carriers: To obtain quotes or submit applications on your behalf, with carriers you authorize
- Service providers: With vendors who assist our operations (e.g., email delivery, CRM systems), subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and limited to the purpose of serving your inquiry
- Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, regulatory examination, or to protect our legal rights
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party for their independent marketing purposes.
5. GLBA Notice (Financial Privacy)
As a licensed insurance agency, we are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (15 U.S.C. § 6801 et seq.), which governs how financial institutions handle non-public personal information. We collect and share your non-public personal information only as described in this Notice. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. 6. TCPA / Text & Call Consent
When you submit our contact authorization form, you may provide consent to receive calls and text messages from us. That consent is specific to John M. Brown and Joshua Brown only and does not authorize contact by any other agent, company, or third party. You may revoke your consent at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message

- Emailing john.brown@centaurusenterprises.com with "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the subject line
All revocation requests are honored within two (2) business days for text messages and immediately upon receipt for calls.
7. Email Communications (CAN-SPAM)
Commercial emails we send will comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.). Each commercial email will identify itself as an advertisement or solicitation, include our physical postal address (537 Linda Ln, Chula Vista, CA 91910), and contain a clear unsubscribe mechanism. Opt-out requests will be honored within ten (10) business days. 8. Record Retention
We retain consent records, form submissions, and related communications for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of collection, in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (4-year statute of limitations plus margin), applicable state insurance record-keeping requirements (3–7 years), and GLBA obligations. Records are maintained by John M. Brown and Joshua Brown and may be made available to regulators or in legal proceedings upon lawful request.
9. California Residents — CCPA Rights
Your Rights Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.)

Our services are intended solely for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
